 We have had the pleasure of knowing and working with Jim for many years. If you do not know him, here is some important information that we hope will help make your voting decision easier.

Passionate about the law, Jim has practiced in Florida for 32 years as a business lawyer and trial attorney. He has fought vigorously for the civil rights of his clients and his successful experience has also helped them with their employment disputes.  As a certified mediator with the Florida Supreme Court, he has listened to disagreements with an impartial ear and has helped parties resolve their differences, most times to the satisfaction of both.  What better qualifications could a judicial candidate have? 

Jim’s legal scholarship and intelligence are demonstrated in part by the number of noteworthy and well-received legal articles he has authored and published in The Florida Bar Journal, and which are still being relied upon today for their authority and guidance. He has earned an AV rating by Martindale-Hubbell signifying that his peers rate him as having the highest level of legal ability, adherence to professional standards of conduct, ethics, reliability and diligence. Jim has also presided over several professional and private organizations.

In addition, Jim is a Viet Nam Era Veteran who served his country overseas as an artillery surveyor in the United States Army.

Aside from his distinguished public career, it is also what we know about Jim personally that prompted us to support his candidacy.  He has a well-deserved reputation for honesty and integrity. He is fair and impartial.  These characteristics, combined with his vast experience, are what make him the best qualified candidate to replace Judge Sprinkel.  And, Jim actually lives in the Ninth Judicial Circuit.
